Dr Julie Bishop

Julie graduated in dentistry from Sheffield University. She then spent several years working in general dental practice in Yorkshire and Dornoch in Scotland before returning to Kent to establish her own practice in Shepherdswell which she ran for 15 years.

During this time Julie developed her interest in orthodontics. She undertook the "Extended Orthodontic Training Programme" run by the Thames Postgraduate Medical and Dental Education Deanery on a part-time basis for two years at Kent and Canterbury Hospital. There she treated patients under the guidance of the consultant Mr Geoff Webb and attending lectures at the Postgraduate Centre in London. Afterwards she worked as a Clinical Assistant in Orthodontics in the Maxillofacial Unit at Kent and Canterbury Hospital.

Julie has worked at this practice since 1999. She also works part-time in Sandwich where her work is also restricted to orthodontics.
